June 20th meeting
Greetings from Mexico. To update you on the pastors meeting yesterday, there was 15 pastors that came and enjoyed the evening. There were some that phoned saying they had to cancelle. There is still a real spiritual battle going on here. We started with prayer and worship songs, Ana and myself started to prepare hamburgers while Deanna watched the small kids in the pool. Pastor Humberto spoke for 20 minutes or so on our bilblical responsibilities on being and working united together for God. We then stopped for hambergers and fellowship. After we were done eating we started of with prayer and a few more worship songs. Isaias took the lead as m c for the evening, it was like he did this all the time. The youth seperated and went to the play ground and there they played some games that were lead by a couple of youth leaders,Pastor Basilio's two oldest boys, they also sat and shared stories as a group. While this was going on the pastors listened to a local mexican missionary whoo spent the last 11 years in Isreal speak about the importance of Isreal to us. After that we brought the youth back to join us and asked three youth to share their testimonies of what it was like being a pastor child, we had three young women come forward to share their stories. They shared their struggles and that they were always being watched by others and if they messed up they heard about it. Yet they are willing to be and set examples for others to follow. We asked the youth leaders to come pray for them and the women came and put hands on them to. They set the next meeting for July 18th. I need to thank Jonathan, Isaias, Ana and Deanna for all their help and support. I also like to thank the family that made it possible for hamburgers last night. I thank all of you that were praying about this and your support in all this. God is working here in these communities and they are all looking at this ministry here to be the light for this valley. This property here is being used more and more by local churches for baptizal services and church gatherings. Thank you for your prayers and support. God bless you. p.s. I am trying to uplaod pictures but Something is not working at this time . I will try later.

Sat. June 18
Greeting from Mexico, I am back in Mexico and had a great time in my short stay in Canada. I would like to thank everyone that donated funds to the car for the pastor here in Mexico. Once again this was a calling from God for me to step out in faith. All the funds were raised and I will follow up with pictures and a short video to the donors from the presentation of the car to the pastor. I would also like to thank the donor who made it possible for us to serve hamburgers on Monday at the pastors meeting. Please be praying for this meeting that the Holy spirit will draw the San Quintin valley together and unit them. Thanks again for all your prayers and support,

June 11
Hi everyone, a quick update to this point, the pastors meeting on June 20th just keeps on growing. We are about 25 or so that said they would be there. I thought it might grow to 10 but God is moving through the valley and it is great to see.
I am on my way back to Canada for a vary short trip, I will be there Sunday evening and leave Wednesday morning. The purpose of my trip is to pick up my car and take it to Mexico to give to a pastor. I am still short $1200.00 on my fund raising for this but I feel God will provide and this is something I must do.
Summer teams start coming down in July and things will get very busy then. I believe our last team leaves around August 13th. The summer will go by fast.
Once again I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support. Please pray for the pastors meeting on the 20th as I feel very overwhelmed be how fast it is growing, and also for the car. I thank you in advance.

May 28th
Good morning, It has been a great week here as Isaias, Ana and myself have been hauling in different types of rock to place around palm trees. Some of these rocks we found o the beach and others we went up into the hills for. We also are preparing for the summer groups right now and we just finished up our first concrete floor. It took us two days to do. Hopefully next week we can do another or maybe even two more.
The feedback I am receiving from pastors here has been overwhelming possitive about pulling together and pastors meeting pastors and churched working toigether. They have desided to meet once a month but now are aking for a pastors retreat here in the San Quintin Valley. There are pastor retreats around Mexico but the cost to get there and back is to much for most of them. We are looking at puting on together here in fall.
The responce I got from my last blog about raising money for a car for pastor here is exciting. My brother (Willie) got involved and has spread the word around Prince George area and has raised over half already. We need about another $1200.00 before June 15th. We can not give a tax receipt for this, but I can say that this will be a great blessing to this pastor. If you are in P.G. and are interested in getting involved you can get in touch with Willie, other wise you can also email me at ed@onelife onechance.ca I thank everyone in advance for giving.

update May 20
Greetings
Last few weeks have been very interesting to say the least. Ana, Isaias wife usually does all the cooking here and all she asks is that I bbq hambergers once a month. Well last week it was my turn to bbq and I desided to invite a pastor and his family to join us. The night I ask them God ask me why only one pastor, I ended up inviting six pastors and five made it. These pastors all work locally here yet never get to meet one another, so this was a great oppertunity to meet and greet and they now have desided to do this once a month and invite even more pastors to join then in a pot lock supper here at the base. They all had a great time sharing and talking that I still even now a week later when I see then they say thanks. I am looking forward to how God will unite these churches and pastors from this piont forward. One pastor even ask me today on a possibility of putting together a pastor retreat in early fall for a couple days. Transportation is a problem for some of these pastors but they give it all they have to be a part of this. I have now invited most of the pastors we work with and the rest will be invited shortly. Please pray for these pastors and families as some of these pastors are not paid pastors from the church, they have jobs in the fields here..
Speaking of transportation: there is one pastor here, pastor Eli who is in need of a car. I know of a car, 1996 Acura and about 130,000 km on it. A very solid car. Valued at $4500.00. I need to raise $3500,00 plus an extra $400.00 for gas and insurance to get it here, by mid June. There is an oppertunity to have it driven down here then. If we raise a little more than that the extra will go to her to help withher bible school she is taking. If anyone can help out here please contact Rob or Brenda.
I thank you for all your prayers and suppport and may God bless you.

Greetings from Mexico
I have been busy with meeting pastors and new pastors coming on board with One Life One Chance and the minisrty here. I am that there are pastors here that have never had out side ministries connect with them. Just a few day ago I sat down with pastor Isaias and another pastor not far from here and when I ask him how a forein team could help him, he was not sure how to answer that as he has never had a mission team stop by. I was heart broken and I had to promise him that would change this year. He also told us that even his congragation was asking how come forein teams bypassed them. The need is great here and this spring the weather was colder than normal and all the crops are behind and the work was just was not there for them. Food, clothing and shelter seems to be the biggest requests. Please pray for the ministry as we prepare for this summers teams, that God will direct us in helping these people. thank you for all your prayer and support. Ed

April 25
Greetings, It has been a very busy spring this year. While groups were here we had a number of things go sideways. All those things made for a couple of long weeks. No teams right now and I am trying to clean up the lose ends. With that said, they were great weeks for God. On one of our builds two elderly people excepted Christ at their house dedication, a very emiotional time for the group and family. On another build, the family are believers but what was shared by the husband made it a very heart felt and emional house dedicatrion. Recieving this house ment that he could quit the job he had and find a new one. The job he had had them living in a small plasic shack on a farmers field were he was a slave to the farmer. If anything went missing from the farmer he was personally held responsible for it and had to work for free to repay it. Now he is free from that and is forever greatful for the help they recieved. Satan tried to drag us down with all the sideway things and problems but with stories like that it does make all the problems smaller and less important and shows that we do sereve an awsome God. Thank you for all your prayers and support. God bless.

Greeings from Mexico, Our first round of groups left yesterday and we had another group from Alberta stop in for 2 days and help out around the yard here. What a difference these extra hands have made and what a blessing they have been here. Our pool area was repainted and a lot of dirt was moved to allow a new driveway in the rear of the property. Another house pad was started on this property for another care taker house. God bless. Thanks for your prayers and support.

Soory for no updates for a while. Internet service has been a little spotty. Thing are going great on th base and last week we connected with most pastors and I felt things went well. Jonathan and Isaias and myself spent some time talking to different pastors and listened to needs and stories since we last spoke. In just short time now we will be picking up our first group in San Diego and starting more outreaches and community services. The pastors are all excited to see teams returning and looking forward to working with them. One pastor told me that there are 3 youths being baptized on Easter sunday in their church.

My first day back
I slept in a bit this morning and then Isaias, Uriel and myself went to help Jonnathan and Evet move to their new home. My they have a wounderful view from their house as it sits high on a cliff and over looks the pacific ocean. Then in the afternoon I worked on fixing some vehicles. It kinda felt like I had'nt left at all as everything seemed the same.
