Sept. 30

Greeting from Mexico. Last few days have gone by so fast. The transion with Isaias is going very well and he seems to take pride in what he does. As we shuffle things around around and prepare to leave early saturday morning, I believe Isaias will do well. Yesterday was a little running around for me and tidy up some loose ends. Today we recieve load of lave rock to tidy up the yard and also emptying out the pool. I have to take the bus in for a grease and check out why transmission brake has stopped working.  My hip and ribs are in a bit of discomfort, keeping me awake a bit at night. Giving me more time to pray about things. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon. God bless.  Thank you for all your prayers and support.

April 08

Greetings from Mexico, I just returned back to Mexico today. I was in Haiti for a few days were There was much destruction and tent cities all over the place. It was hard to take to look at all the crushed homes and buildings and knowing there could still be bodies under all that mess. I will be posting pictures from there for the next few blogs. Mexico also had an earth quake while I was away and it shook the camp ground here but did no damage here. Sounds like Mexicali got hit hard and there is a lot of damage. It is close the the U.S. boerder and east of were I drove down today. I drove down the coastline and did not see any sign of damage there. Thank you all for your prayers and support. God bless.

Greetings from Mexico
Sorry for not keeping up with the blog, it has been extremely busy here with the house builds and extra activities here with the groups. We  went to a different church last night and what a great experience that was. They were so inviting and they had a translator there and we heard an awesome message as well. Tonight we have penciled in going to a migrant camp share God's word and food distribution as well. These camps are suffering right now from all the rain we have had. The rain has damaged the field that they work and left them unemployed for the sort term. Thanks for your prayers and support,  Picture of our future watch dog. She is a black labish.

Hello to you out there were ever you are. Today I had Fernando helping me again for half a day and we got a lot of fence line cleaning done. We stacked a lot of the debre that we cleaned up on the old lawn by the old caretaker;s house. the grass was dead and  was a fire hasard and this afternoon I burned a lot of the clippings, leaves and junk collected around the yard over the last couple weks. There is more to burn yet but that will have to wait for another day. I have three families, 9 people total in the playground today and so far I have rv come in for the night. I wish everyone a great and happy weekend.  Picture of the grassy area by the tenting area

feb.11

Hello everyone, It was a beautiful day here today. It is suppose to get even warmer this weekend, like mid 20s. Today I was kept busy with lots of weed spraying. I think I have it almost under control now. I got one rv in right around the time I was going to leave for church, so I missed out on church again this week. Going on sundays is very hard to do if the weather is nice as families come out to play in the play grounds here. They come before lunch and stay till it is almost dark. I hope everyone is having a great week, I am.

greetings

Sorry for not updating earlier, but we had no internet the last few nights when I tried. We now have our own internet stick, I recieved it today. It was a long wait for the stick. Here is a picture of part of the campground, I am up on the roof of the pool house looking back at the office and palopas. It has been an interesting week so far, there have been a few campers thru here and we had more rain and today the sun is out again. I had Fernando, he works next door at the hotel, helping me all day. We got a lot of cleanning up done in the olove tree patch. The weeds just take of like crazy here after a rain. I have never seen anything like it. more weed spraying to do again. I also got our shop somewhat organized this week by building more shelves and filling then. I have been a bit stiff and sore lately, not used to all the fisical work. Not complaining tho.

feb 7

On the sixth I cleaned up long the treed fence line and the flower bed in the circle at back. Raked up more dryed oloves in the camping area. I have a tenter in and he was amazed how nice it was and said he would tell others about this place on thier trip south. It rained a lot in the evening and some during the night. Today the sun is out and the winds are picking up. Drying up some of the puddles left behind from last night. All the fisical work around here sure is not like sitting in the truck all day, I do feel  stiff and sore for the last few days but not commplaining about it as this is good for me. Go ahead laugh, I am. Looking forward to groups coming soon. Praying we don't get to much rain so the roads wash out again. God bless.

Feb 3

Today was a very busy day. Started of watering trees and grass and I had to leave for a meeting with other ministries here that were meeting with local goverment officials. They are wanting us to partner with them in helping flood victoms that lost everything. Details are still sketchy but we are to meet again on friday. While I was out there I checked up with Elia and Celia and both are doing well. In the afternoon I watered some more and raked up the mess that the olive trees made. There is not much down time right now as I am trying to get as much done before groups show up.

Just  a update for the past three days. The weather has been great, sunny and warm. Things are drying up nicely now. I went to San Diego on thur. and returned home on fri. The roads were almost like always, a few roadside wash outs still but nothing to major. I had Dave staying at camp while I was gone, when I reurned on fri. Dave and I cleanned out our I D T shed and the tools that were under the bus. Today I changed all the locks, so only three keys now instead of a ring full. oh ya. Cleaned the rest of the stuff out from under the bus and did some yard work as well. The weeds are sure taking of after all the rain and now the sun. Talk soon.  Ed

26th

Today was a busy and very succusfull day. I had Dave Monzano helping me. First I gave Dave a tour of the campground and then I went to work on the bus and wow  the were selling gas, only $ 10.00 to each person but I came thru 3 times today. That helped me out a great deal. Then I worked on the bus and got it running and got them moved back to our campground with the help of Dave. I feel like I really acomplished a lot today. Sounds like the road is to open anytime now and that is awsome news for here. The roads have dried up a lot and water is going down fast.  cheers Ed

Monday update

I just went to the hotel to use thier internet so  I could update everyone. I applied for an internet stick today but it could be this weekend before I get it. With all the rain we had it made it difficult to do to much here, I did have a full day on yard cleanup after the rain quit. Sunday I had three families show up (16) people in all for the play ground, That was exciting. Today I worked on getting the mini bus running and it is, but still have issues with the big bus.  I will be working on getting it going again tomorrow. Have a great week. p.s. Please pray for calm to settle in the valley here.
